 Actually took observation at 8:40 am, but I emptied gauge at 3:40 pm yesterday and there was only a very small trace of snow left on the ground then. Gauge is still empty now and I think I can say with confidence that the remaining trace of snow melted yesterday late afternoon or evening. The only snow left is in shaded areas and bottom of ditches. None out in open fields. The 1.0 inch of new snow is an estimate only. I was not home to witness it, but the snow to liquid ratio had been 25:1 prior to 7 am yesterday and I had 0.07 inches of liquid in the gauge when I got home at 3:40 pm. At 25:1 that would have been 1.75 inches of snow, but I am making a more conservative estimate. Visibility 181443Z 10SM
