 Low stratus yesterday morning transitioned to dense fog along with occasional drizzle until the 12:00pm hour. Checked gauge catch at 1:00pm after drizzle ended and found almost 0.01" of precipitation. This amount is the same this morning. Low stratus began to lift in the early afternoon with breaks in the overcast observed at 1:43pm. Skies did not clear until the 3:00p hour. Convective clouds tried to form in the late afternoon. Did see some virga over the Front Range north of the Air Force Academy in the early evening hours. Grass and gauge catch funnel are wet from condensation this morning.
