2025-09-17 6pm Heavy wall clouds to the north and east. Cumulo-nimbus to overhead and to the southeast, thunder to the north lasting 15 minutes. 6:15pm heavy rain started. 6:17pm heavy hail, 1” diameter south lawn, 1.5” hail north lawn, Street a little flooded. Hail stopped at 6:27pm still light rain. 6:30pm 0.15” rain in gauge, still light rain. Blue sky to the west. cloud to ground bolt lightning to the northeast. In picture of north side hail, the smaller fragments broke off hitting and coming off the metal roof. 7pm rain ended. 7:04pm rain started again. 10:55pm Thunder, heavy rain, intracloud lightning to the south. Heavy rain lasted 15 minutes. 2025-09-18 9am 0.39” in gauge, overcast but clearing, 55 degrees, no wind. Streets have more water than usual but less than from major storms every few years. |
