Notes
First precipitation began yesterday at 4:28pm as a sprinkle then transitioned to light rain at 4:40pm with hard surfaces beginning to wet. Cloud to ground lightning at 4:42 to our north. Two cloud to ground strikes at 4:44. One to our north and one SE. 1/4" hail began at 4:53pm. Hail Report submitted. Rain intensified at 5:04pm to moderate rain then to light rain at 5:07. Rain intensity further decreased at 5:09 to a sprinkle ending around 5:25pm. Gauge catch showed 0.03" at 5:28 with no hail in funnel. Was awakened by the second thunderstorm at 11:45pm with frequent lightning and hail hitting roof. Got outside at 11:50pm and observed heavy rain with occasional hail stones coming down. Hail Report submitted. Rain ended by 12:05am. Checked gauge catch at 12:07am indicating 0.25". Went back to bed and heard rain at 12:21am and 12:26. Minor damage to plants from hailstones. Dense fog this morning with visibility down to about 1/4-mile.
