Notes
Rain for a while starting just before dusk. Although both of my outdoor thermometers reported that our low temp last night was only 35, there was a plug of ice about 1/2" high in the funnel of the rain gauge this morning!? Can't really figure out where that would have come from, since the rain was all gone and the skies were totally clear by midnight. Maybe there was some hail left in there from the rain, but if so, and it melted enough to make a sold ice plug, why didn't it drain on through? 69/35
