 This observation made using a CoCoRahs approved Stratus rain gauge. The measuring tube had overflowed into the barrel when I checked this morning, so I recorded the tube amount, emptied it and measured the remaining amount of precipitation for a total of 1.62 inches of precipitation having fallen in the preceding 24 hours spanning from 0800 September 6th, 2026 to 0800 September 7th, 2026. There was a period of heavy rain yesterday during the day and additional rain yesterday evening. I don't have certain time to apply to those two periods. I observed no flooding during either of those periods. I am situated on property that tends to to have a downhill slant around most directors so that precipitation would be expected to drain away from me. I have nothing else to report other than the measuring tube was completely emptied in preparation for the next day's observation and reading.
