Notes
No precipitation of any kind at all within the last 24 hours, either fallen or observed. There was a chance of drizzle on the NWS Chicago Weather Story yesterday to happen somewhere in the forecast area. However apparently it did not materialize right where I am at in Park Forest. I did look at their radar yesterday evening and night and in my area I did not see anything the two different times I looked. I always for many years get Warnings, Watches, and Advisories from NOAA Weather Radio and that is my PRIMARY way for decades since the tone alert system was created. Regency made the first tone alert radio I ever had however in its era it was AC only. However it did an excellent job. Nowadays for years I have two battery-backed-up radios on all the time, one a Midland portable and a third Midland portable for a spare. Being a trained spotter for years now thanks to someone at church who is I always have NOAA Weather Radio ready. However the NWS Chicago website is great for seeing on their radar what might be developing and also I get my forecasts from Weather Story.
