Abundant rainfall over the past month or so has brought surface waters back to normal levels.  Snow cover was pretty much washed away with last heavy rain.  Ground is frozen near the surface, but does not seems to be hindering excavation work.  Ice fishing has started up on some of the smaller lakes and ponds.  Despite the cold weather, I still have two pair of Eastern Bluebirds visiting the feeders.
