I am not sure when moderately dry turns into severely dry.  During the month of July, I recordoed only 1.18 inches of rain.  Even with watering every day (a minimal amount in the morning), my garden is not thriving. Lawn is brittle.  Chickens are stressed with the constant 90 degree heat.
