Conditions here are severely dry.  However we received a total of about 0.75 inches last week and more rain is expected.  Lawns have yellowed and soil is dry.  The Haw River continues at very low flow with more of the channel bottom showing.  Small streams have dried completely. Water use and fire bans are still in force.
