We had an additional round of beneficial rain impact the area earlier this week on Sunday with 0.33" inches of rain observed. The increased rainfall late last week and during last weekend did increase the topsoil moisture at my cocorahs rain gauge location, however things have begun to dry out some recently. Next, I would like to note that the grass has grown a bit, and there are several areas in our yard where small plant seedlings have continued to germinate thanks to the rainfall. Also, our trees that had leaf wilting before the rain, are now no longer showing leaf wilting this week. Lastly, area wildlife have been active with recent sightings of several bird species flying about, a recent sighting of a Garter Snake, and various insects flying too.
