Mostly sunny and warm with moderate winds, then partly cloudy and cool overnight with light winds and rain. The high temperature was around sixty five degrees, and the low around forty eight degrees Fahrenheit. Songbirds are eating a feederful every 2 to 3 days. Asters, Goldenrod, Prunella vulgaris, and Chickory are in full bloom. Apples are ripe and half gone, walnuts are beginning to fall.  All corn cobs are ripe and some leaves are dying. Some corn is beginning to be chopped. Blackbirds and Canadian Geese are beginning to flock. Black Cherry trees have half of their leaves fallen,  25% of trees leaves are changing color. The local intermittent stream is dry and the nearby trout stream is flowing at early fall levels.
