Condition Monitoring Report
Station Number: CO-BO-596
Station Name: Boulder 1.9 SE
Report Date: 10/5/2026
Submitted: 10/05/2026 7:42 AM
Scale Bar: Severely Dry
Description:
Over the past twelve months, I have recorded three months of normal precipitation and nine months of below normal precipitation. Where I am seems to be a donut hole for precipitation, as really none of the more significant rain storms have touched us (and we have zero missing days of observations).

We are at 58% of normal for the calendar year, with a deficit of 6.33”. This is showing up in trees, unirrigated yards, and open space. Wells in my neighborhood have run dry.

The last significant precipitation we had was in June. Otherwise, all precipitation has been less than 0.1” (with one exception of 0.12” in mid July).

Our neighborhood has had the most bear activity we’ve ever year (I’ve lived here 24 years, other neighbors have lived here much longer). We theorize it is because there is no food or water for them in wild lands.
