Oaks are just starting to change color, maples changing now, birches and quaking aspen staring to change color. Wild apples trees are starting to drop fruit some of which is red! Good news for the critters. Some oak acrons but no beechnuts from the beech trees which are suffering from striped-leaf disease. Not good news especially for our black bears and bad news for backyard bird feeders.
No news of any more household wells going dry. We still catch rain water for non-potable uses.
