NOAA 30-year norm: 37.19 inches
+ 7.70 inches, 121% of NOAA norm.
The summer alternated periods of ample/heavy rainfall and drought, the latter requiring sometimes daily watering of raised beds and planters.
2.22 inches of rain fell this week that caused water to pond in low areas of fields and roadside ditches. Grass remains a lush green, and annuals are still blooming, though fewer and smaller blooms - have not needed water yet. Just a few trees beginning to show small areas of color. Fewer hummingbirds at the feeders.
