Record rainfall for the second half of September, mostly steady and soaking.  Although river flow is high, reservoirs are still at record lows, so the long-term drought remains, but this has allowed vegetation to have a late green-up near the end of the season, and wildlife to benefit from lots of puddles and mudholes.
