I missed last Sunday's report but can tell you that it was pouring rain.  We received about 5.5" of rain over 3 days.  That was good as it allowed the soil to absorb it rather than have it run off.  The result was no water in my basement sump and green lawns outside.  Streams are running above normal as the water drains off.  Wildlife is still in transition from summer to winter.  Those that sleep winter away are still mostly active as they prepare.  Migrating birds have left but the incoming winter birds haven't quite arrived yet.
