Rain for week ending early this Sunday of 0.79" came mostly early and below the normal of 1.1 inch. September ended with 5.34" which virtually matched the norm of 5.26". The 2025-2026 water year ended at 40.40" which is 12.39 below the 1991-2020 30-year average of 52.79" and became a new record low WY total in 44 years of record which beat 40.74" from 1991-1992. A slightly wet August/September prevented this WY from being much less. Nevertheless, very large long-term deficiency continues. Therefore, selected Mildly Dry for the categorical condition. Long hot and dry periods this growing season might be cause for some tree foliage to change to autumnal colors earlier than average.
