Station Number: OK-PH-1
Station Name: Antlers 6.3 SE
Report Date: 10/3/2026
Submitted: 10/03/2026 1:39 PM
Scale Bar: Near Normal
Description:
Our lack of rain has thankfully come to an end with several rounds of rain and a few thunderstorms this week. Our seven day total stands at 2.99" inches at this time with light to moderate rain currently falling. The best news of all is that our soil moisture has greatly improved compared to the last several weeks, and I am confident in saying soil moisture conditions in my opinion are now near normal. Next, I have noticed some new plant seedlings already starting to sprout out of the ground, but overall our grasses remain a mixture of green and brown grass. Also I haven't noticed much change with our trees, as many of them have lost a large amount of leaves over the course of this drought and this includes especially the leaves on our Eastern Red Bud trees. Lastly, area wildlife have been active with multiple sightings of birds, various insects, and a few butterflies recently. I also heard last evening some coyotes howling in the distance too.
