Local beans look ready to harvest. My sweet potatoes are getting some yellow leaves. Tomatoes are slow to ripen but peppers won't quit.
We didn't have power issues this week. Our pear tree is starting to drop its colored leaves as is tulip tree. Mushrooms popped up after this weeks rain. I saw that walnuts, acorns, and locust pods were staining country roads where traffic hits them. Our Deer and fawn were seen several times this week. This week we had a total of 0.90" of rain which helped. Monthly total for Sept was 1.85" over 8 occurrences. Overflow creek and pond with no standing water. Evenings are beginning to be chilly in the low 40s. Added picture of 9/27 7am rainbow. I had never seen one at sunrise on a rainless morning before.
