We have received 1.35 in. of rain this week from gentle rain events. The dry and dusty ground is moist again. It has also been cool this week, but very humid so it has been a mix of open windows and air conditioning. That also means lots of mosquitoes and this week there seems to be more than the usual amount. Lots of walnuts falling and squirrels have chewed off the end of oak branches getting ready to make winter nests. Many trees still have green leaves, but a few trees are losing leaves like black walnut and red buckeye. The seasons have changed...now on to fall yardwork.
