Mostly cloudy and warm with light winds, then partly cloudy and cool overnight with light predawn valley fog and calm winds. The high temperature was around sixty seven degrees, and the low around fifty degrees Fahrenheit. Songbirds are eating a feederful every other day. Asters, Goldenrod, Prunella vulgaris, Chickory, and Jerusalem Artichoke flowers are in full bloom. Apples are ripe, walnuts are beginning to fall.  All corn cobs are ripe and some leaves are dying. Some corn is beginning to be chopped. Blackbirds and Canadian Geese are beginning to flock. Black Cherry trees, Walnut leaves and sparse other trees leaves are beginning to change color. The local intermittent stream is dry and the nearby trout stream is flowing at early fall levels.
