Moisture has trended closer to average in the shorter term with the August-September period as a whole having somewhat above average rainfall at most locations. Longer term, severe drought remains over the region. Currently, rainfall has brought fire danger back to the low range but will likely come back up to moderate at lower to mid elevations as dry weather returns in the near term.
