Wet September continues with another 15.5mm of rain this past week, and more in the immediate forecast. Lake level has remained stable over the past week. Forest fire hazard risk remains low. Ditches are damp, but no sitting water. Lawns and gardens remain lush.  Ground continues to soak up moisture. No frost yet. Trees are starting to turn and are about 10% coloured foliage. Mountain maple are showing red, unusual for them and a sign of good moisture. Recreational lake activity quiet again this weekend. Bush walking trails are pleasant and bug-free. White-tailed bucks are sporting antlers. There continues to be bear activity nearby. Loons are still calling daily.  Geese are flocking but the big migration doesn’t seem to have started yet.
