Mostly cloudy and warm with moderate winds and rain, then cloudy and cool overnight with light winds and drizzle. The high temperature was around sixty degrees, and the low around fifty one degrees Fahrenheit. Songbirds are eating a feederful every other day. Asters, Goldenrod, Prunella vulgaris, Chickory, and Jerusalem Artichoke flowers are in full bloom. Apples are ripe, walnuts are 2" big and beginning to fall.  All corn have cobs from 8" to 12" and are ripe. Blackbirds are beginning to flock. Black Cherry trees, Walnut leaves and sparse other trees leaves are beginning to change color. The local intermittent stream is dry and the nearby trout stream is flowing at late-summer levels.
