No significant effects. Just dry. Leaves shedding early. Grass growth slowed to next to zero. Soil very dry at the surface and 1st couple of inches deep. Would not recommend residential burning unless wind is calm. It's not unusual to be drier in September and October. The summer was wetter than normal. But, over the past 30 days, only 3 consecutive and total days of rain 9-11th resulted in a little over 2 inches of rain. No rain in over two weeks.
