The precipitation this week was 1.43 inches, and September so far has had 3.25 inches which is 307% of normal.   This has more than made up for the hot, dry August, and now soil moisture is above normal and fields are getting new, green growth, recovering from dry conditions. Much more rain is expected before September ends.  Our water supply is adequate and water is flowing in the Rio Grande river. No critical fire weather concerns are expected for the foreseeable future.
