3.71" in the last couple weeks is a lot of rain here, there were warnings of rivers and creeks overflowing when we had over an inch of rain 2 days in a row. And it's mild here compared to a band a little south that has been pummeled in rain this year. 
Leaves are starting to turn for fall and temps are in the 60s. I have bees still hovering around late blooming flowers. Grass is very green. I've walked into several clouds of mayflies? walking the dog lately. 
Democracy in the US is slipping away with authoritarian rule; freedom of the press is the most recent right to fall. The president embraces dictators around the world and abandoned Ukraine and our other long time allies. Midterm elections 11/3/26, voter suppression is supported by extreme scotus.
