We've had five days with small amts of precipitation for a total of 0.07" plus. Everything is still green and doing well but I have seen some cracks in the ground so we are normal heading into mildly dry.
The area farmers are harvesting so they probably are glad to not have wet weather right now. My green tomatoes are slow to ripen. Green peppers are doing well with lots of new blossoms.  We had a off-on power outage Tues as storm clouds were passing us by. Mushrooms are popping up again. Our lone deer ended up having a late season fawn. I had assumed the lone deer was a buck. The little one is fun to watch bong, bong, boing across the field when alarmed. Skunks are busy each night digging up grubs. They leave their cone shaped holes behind in the yard and orchard. Groups of 6-8 crows are busy and noisy around here. A hawk flew off with a snake in its claws two days ago.  Creek and overflow pond are dark colored mud with no standing water. Creeks in town and in surrounding area are running but are not high. It is nice to have cooler temperatures.
