Our weather pattern has finally begun to change across our area with a bit more comfortable temperatures, however we are still dealing with a significant lack of rain. During the past seven days our rainfall total was only 0.11" inches of rainfall, and while this rainfall evaporated by the next day, it did not help our drought conditions any. Next, our grasses and trees remain stressed due to the lack of rainfall, and my Brown Turkey Fig trees have lost all of their leaves completely, and our Crape Myrtle Trees leaves continue to wilt due to the lack of rainfall. Lastly, area wildlife were a little more active recently with a couple of sightings of birds flying about, and also several insect species have been observed flying about too.
