We are getting enough rain to keep things green but not enough to fill reservoirs and ponds and the aquifer. The stream one door away is really low and the larger one in town is also low. No ponds locally but media remarks on the low pond levels in the surrounding areas. Our whole town is on wells but social media hasn’t shown great concerns in that area. 
Wildlife seems ok with often sightings of deer, fox, coyotes bobcats and various smaller critters. The winter spring residential bear has gone to the hills where it is often spotted. 
Locally we have not had any major wildfires for months. 
We are beginning to see signs of fall and color change. Some smaller plants and bushes are turning brown and dying back but the larger trees are just beginning to show change. 
This is the second year where my “water year” was negative compared to the 30 yer average. 
We only have a couple of vegetables farms locally and they have watered this year but both the news and social media have not expressed any great concerns there.
