Once again this week I'll report conditions as being on the cusp between mildly dry and near normal. The rain gauge says it's mildly dry or perhaps worse: I've recorded but 0.18" in the past seven days, and no recent weeks have offered more than a half inch. Area trails are dry, even spots that are normally muddy. However, local dirt roads are only slightly dusty or maybe not dusty at all. Vegetation remains green (or as much so as the waning sunlight permits), and soil moisture remains typical. Stream levels appear normal..
