It's been a dry week with only a total of 0.02" of brief rain coming from the edge of thunderstorms we could hear, but passed us by. We have turned off the microhydro since the creek is low. The drinking spring remains excellent. The highs have been in the mid-80's with fog most mornings. I have been watering my garden seedlings every other day, although they get heavy dew in the morning. Some leaves are starting to fall. Sourwood trees are beginning to turn red. A new wildflower today is the fall-blooming Appalachian gentian.
