The drought conditions are severe. We have had .19 inches of rain in the last 60 days. During that time, our temperatures have reached 100 degrees 53 times. In many cases, the temperatures were above 105 and they topped out at 111. The Bermuda grass is crunchy (crunches like the sound of snow when you walk on it). The ponds are extremely low. Some are completely dry. I’ve attached photos to show what a couple looked like when full in April 2025 and how they look now. Some people around here think this is worse than 2011. I don’t know if it’s worse, but it’s comparable. The photos included are the same two ponds. The drought photos were taken Sept. 10, 2026. The full pond photos were taken April 30, 2025.
