Our generous September rainfall continues with over an inch last week and more coming down today. Lawns remain green and growing. Fall foliage colors are becoming more widespread, though muted. Bassett Brook and Hoosic River flow levels remain near normal and my pond is full. White pine and Norway Spruce cones are maturing and squirrels have begun harvesting.The first of the fall crop of raspberries are ripening and I may get a harvest if the frost holds off for a couple more weeks. Hiking and biking trails on Mt Greylock remain wet.
