Annual North Country Fair in Arcata this weekend, 52nd anniversary of it, bringing the community together. The bike tour company my son works for continues doing tours on the Redwood Coast, with a fully booked week ahead. He's personally given 122 tours this year in Prairie Creek State Park and Avenue of the Giants. And they are already getting bookings for next year, including some cruise ships that will visit Eureka. Spotted Towhees returned this week, earliest arrival in 15 years of tracking--6 days ahead of only other September arrival in 2016. Normally, they arrived in October.
