Condition Monitoring Report
Station Number: CO-BO-596
Station Name: Boulder 1.9 SE
Report Date: 9/20/2026
Submitted: 9/20/2026 8:18 AM
Scale Bar: Severely Dry
Description:
We have been in a drought this entire water year. I have not missed a single observation, and we are closing in on 10.19” for the water year, with ten days left. This is 58% of normal. What these numbers don’t describe is the impact of months and months of relentless high temperatures, far above long term norms. Soil water content is essentially nothing. The wildflower season has been a complete bust. Trees are dying or dropping their leaves early. Wells are drying up. If anything, the last couple of months have been even worse than the ongoing year long catastrophe.

We have received 0.37” of precipitation this month, mostly in amounts less than 0.05”. This is 39% of average. We are at 8.71” for the calendar year, 60% of average.
