Our Hot and Dry weather pattern is finally looking like its going to change by Sunday and Monday with a cold front and possible rainfall. This change in the weather comes after we finally had our first rainfall event since August 25, 2026 with just 0.04" inches of rainfall observed on September 13, 2026. While this since has evaporated, it is my hope we receive a more significant rainfall total Sunday through Monday. Next, our overall soil conditions remain the same with Sandy soil and no topsoil moisture. Also, our grasses and trees remain stressed as a result of our prolonged hot weather and drought conditions. Lastly, area wildlife sightings this week have mainly been spiders, grasshoppers, wasps, dirt daubers and ants.
