Week of (9/13/26-9/19/26) observed less precipitation compared to last week. The precipitation observed during this week was 0.23 inches of precipitation. The amount of precipitation measured was less than the last update of 0.54 inches of precipitation for the previous week of (9/6/26-9/12/26). There was 3.25 inches of precipitation so far that was recorded at station NY-MR-89 for the month of September compared to the normal climatology precipitation at KROC airport for the month is 1.98 inches of precipitation. Conditions have gotten drier since the last update from last week with the area seeing less measurable precipitation in the form of liquid over this past week and the area is still remaining drought free. The area is currently considered near normal and conditions had remained the same since the last update and the ground has remained dried up with no standing water since the last update due to the area receiving more precipitation in the form of rain since there has been a lot of measurable rainfall last month in August and prior months and this had caused the area to receive an abundance of moisture the area had received in the past, but the grass is still green and vibrant in the back yard and in the front yard. The sump pump hasn’t been pumping at all during the entire week with the ground being dry despite all the precipitation the area had received over this past week. Outdoor activities have been OK this week with some of the days this week had had dry weather and the rest of the days with precipitation falling and being observed, but the dry days were good to walk on local canal path and along with below average temperatures (Sunday, Tuesday and Saturday) and streams water levels are still holding at low levels currently along with some seasonably mild air to near seasonable air (near normal to above average temperatures) in the environment (Wednesday-Friday). The air conditioner has been working below average for most of this week (On only for Sunday, Monday, Wednesday, Thursday) due to cooler than normal temperatures during most of the week despite above normal temperatures on Sunday, Monday, Wednesday and Thursday had caused the Air Conditioner to be turned on to cool the house down and cooling the house with the windows open some nights this week and with four days this week with near to above average temperatures (as much as 13 degrees Fahrenheit above average for high and low temperatures during the week and as much as 12 degrees Fahrenheit below average for high and low temperatures during the week). The ground had remained dry this week and the drainage area in the backyard has no standing water. The grass is still green and vibrant with all the moisture that had fallen over this past week along with full foliage on the trees. The front and backyards needed to be hand mowed twice this week along with vegetation such as Dogwoods and trees in the backyard are doing good and no manual watering was needed for a potted plant and Boxwoods for most days this week and the grass is still growing very fast due to abundance of moisture the area received from the past. There is no fall foliage that was observed this week to be reported over the area currently and same as the previous week. So far, the total precipitation at this station for the month of September is currently above average.
