After the last two Septembers being bone dry, this year is quite a change.  With 1.75" of rain this morning, with more on the way and over 4" of rain for the month, a wet September is here for sure.  Soil conditions are mildly wet with moderately wet just around the corner.  Area rivers are just starting to rise and could come up quite a bit.  And the nearby Beaver Creek is rising fast.  Trees look very green and thick and it really looks like a jungle out there.  Lawns of course are looking lush and green and still require mowing about every 4 days.  Maybe with the cooler weather our NWS is forecasting for next week mowing will finally be less frequent.  Been seeing the usual chickadees and finches at the feeder while our four legged friends are still pretty quiet.  So far the mosquitoes are not too bad but with all this wet weather, that could change.  And, so far the boxelder bugs have not appeared.  Can't say as I miss them.
