With only 0.93” of rain over the past 2 weeks, conditions are near normal although approaching mildly dry. The Pascoag Reservoir has fallen a few inches since the last report to 8’8” but is fairly full for this time of year. There are still some boaters and fishermen getting out on the lake but the numbers are falling as the summer season ends. Many boats are being pulled in anticipation of the dam opening after Columbus Day weekend. The lawn requires regular mowing about once per week so it is slowing a little with less sunlight and cooler temperatures. Jays, wrens, crows, nuthatches, phoebes, etc. have been busy, while mallards and Canadian geese are around too.
