Mostly cloudy and warm with light winds and rain, then mostly cloudy and warm overnight with calm winds. The high temperature was around seventy four degrees, and the low around sixty one degrees Fahrenheit. Songbirds are eating a feederful every other day. Goldenrod, Prunella vulgaris, Soapwort, Chickory and Horse Nettle flowers are in full bloom. Apples are ripening, walnuts are 2" big.  All corn have cobs from 6" to 12". A fifth cutting of hay is occurring. Blackbirds are beginning to flock. A few Black Cherry trees and spare other trees leaves are beginning to change color. The local intermittent stream is dry and the nearby trout stream is flowing at late-summer levels.
