We actually had over an inch of rain last week, but the area is still very dry.  The neighborhood pond continues to shrink as no water is flowing into it.  Any lawns that have not been watered are brown, and a number of trees have dropped lots of leaves or have just turned brown.  The rain last week was nice, but with yet more upper 90s weather on tap, we're going to need a lot more to break the dry cycle.
