After nearly 3 very hot weeks with virtually no rain, and after being well on the way to moderately dry, my location has had 2.61 inches of rain in the past 3 days, bringing the monthly total to 2.77 inches. Soils are moist, muddy in spots. The local Harvest Home Fair in a local park was quite muddy this weekend, when I had been anticipating dusty dry conditions. A welcome change!
