Almost all fields of soybeans in the area have turned or are turning yellow. Many plants have even started to lose their leaves. 
Plants in the garden that were not watered have wilted or started to dry down. 
The dust on the gravel road can cover a clean back license plate in just a day or two of going up and down the road!
The South Fork of the Crow River where it is crossed by County Rd 2 between Glencoe and Silver Lake continues to sink. More and more sand bars or bottom silt is exposed each week.
