We received 1.51” of much needed rain this week and the two week total is 1.52”. We are still in a drought but conditions have improved. Temperatures were hot early in the week but have dropped some late in the week due to the cloudy skies and rain. Soil moisture has increased at least in the upper part and seems closer to normal than last week. Crops and plants are starting to grow again but there is still a lot of brown and dead vegetation. Wildfire threat is reduced due to rain and humidity but we are still under a burn ban. Streamflows and water levels are still very low.
