Five point nine inches of rain the past week with 5.6 falling in one shot. This was the 3rd highest amount observed since August 1 2007. This fell in an east- west band just south of I-80. Minor field flooding into the pond pushed it into the overflow swale. Otherwise, crops are slowly drying down with some very minor leaf fall seen. I imagine plenty of basements were flooded in the Des Moines metro where 5-7 inches fell.
