With less than one-half inch of precipitation, going with Near Normal! Basement is also on the dry side of damp. We've had some nights were the temperatures are going down. The furnace is on, but it has not needed to run yet.

More trees are dropping their first leaves here and there.

Flowers and most vegetables continue to act like their end of season date is approaching quickly.

Hummingbird has not been seen this week. Bees continue their silly 'lost and don't know where to go' bumbling around. Generally, they LOVE any and every flower, but they don't appear to have much more of an agenda.

Allergies have been low. 

With school into full swing and the neighborhood concomitantly quiet, autumn moved in this week. I can continue to feel it in the air. The clouds look more stormy. "Wind season" approaches. Warm sunny moments now feel precious instead of the summery 'unending' feeling. It's very hard to believe that we'll see snowflakes soon.
