Weekly precipitation was 0.08 inches. The weekly highs:103,99,101,98,97,95,98. Lows:77,74,72,74,74,77,73. Sunny and hot this past week. Some clouds and downpours in areas on a few days brought relief to small areas. By and large it was dry. We continue to get drier with each scorching day of sun. Good harvest weather though. We are continuing to whittle away at our soybean crop each day (we did get rained out yesterday afternoon). We cut some dryland beans in the Rena Lara area this past week and the ground was very hard and dry with huge cracks (big enough to trip in) opening up all over (heavy clay soil). Anywhere you have fields that were not irrigated during the summer, the ground is hard and dry. The irrigated ground is beginning to turn that way too.
