1.89” rain after nearly 3 weeks without is quite welcome. Burn ban lifted. Ponds coming up a tad, creeks trickling. So many wildflowers blooming - goldenrod, tickseed sunflowers, thistle, blue mistflower, ironweed. Call 'em weeds and let them flourish, you're slacking; call 'em wildflowers and you're doing all the critters a favor. We're seeing our first harvested corn fields. Beans and corn browning, more trees coloring. Just a couple does and a hen, but plenty of hummingbirds.
